Everything you want to know

How is this different from GAC or IX?

Conventional media was designed for other contaminants and adapted to legacy PFAS later. Our material was specifically engineered for PFAS from the start. The result is a material that lasts roughly two-to-ten times longer than industry-standard media and targets the full spectrum of PFAS — cutting operating costs for utilities and delivering safer water for ratepayers.

Do we need new infrastructure to use it?

No. We understand that most of our customers are capital-conscious, which is why our media was developed as a drop-in replacement for your existing vessels. No new permits, no new construction, no operator retraining. If you're already running a pressure vessel or adsorption system, you can switch on your next changeout.

Has it been independently validated?

Yes. We're certified to NSF/ANSI 61 for drinking water contact — the safety standard utilities require before any media enters a potable system. Beyond certification, we've run multi-year field pilots on some of the most heavily contaminated waters in the country, including airport and defense sites where only our media survived. We're also in active pilot with one of the largest utilities in the nation.

What happens to the spent media?

Nothing new for your operators to manage. Our media uses a standard ion exchange format, so spent material is handled and disposed of through the same channels as any resin already in use. In addition, our media is regenerable for multiple cycles, further extending its service life and cutting down on waste.

How do we get started?

The first step is to reach out — it all depends on your application. Some sectors are already well proven, and we can move straight to specifications using existing data sheets and case studies. Newer verticals often prefer to validate first, through lab column testing or a field pilot on your own water. Based at the UT Research Park with a close working relationship with Oak Ridge National Laboratory, we have access to world-class testing resources to support whatever validation your team needs.
